THE SWEET SPOT
What to pick the nimble 26-inch wheel size or the fast-rolling 29er? Neither we said. The the sweet spot for many riders and trails is right in between so the Pitch rolls on 27.5-inch wheels that offer a 29er’s confident handling in a tighter lighter package.

- Hardtails might be the oldest mountain bike design but they continue to evolve. Our modern geometry prizes a roomy reach and short stem to keep you balanced over the wheels while 94mm of trail—almost identical to our rowdy Fuse line—provides precise steering at any speed.
- You know that feeling when you go into a corner a little too fast and can’t slow down? Yeah us neither at least not with these powerful Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes.
- Dual-chainring drivetrains still have their place. Long climbs for example where the 18-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain on the Pitch Comp 2X provides the perfect gear for any grade and closer gear-to-gear jumps than a 1X system so you can spin comfortably no matter the terrain.
